This month's memory verse

Hebrews 10:24-25

And let us consider how to stir up one another to love and good works, not neglecting to meet together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another, and all the more as you see the Day drawing near.

15 Second Testimony!

Key Verse | Acts 22:16

And now why do you wait? Rise and be baptized and wash away your sins, calling on his name.

Acts 22:12-16

12A man named Ananias lived there. He was a godly man, deeply devoted to the law, and well regarded by all the Jews of Damascus. 13He came and stood beside me and said, ‘Brother Saul, regain your sight.’ And that very moment I could see him!

14“Then he told me, ‘The God of our ancestors has chosen you to know his will and to see the Righteous One and hear him speak. 15For you are to be his witness, telling everyone what you have seen and heard. 16What are you waiting for? Get up and be baptized. Have your sins washed away by calling on the name of the Lord.’

Footnotes

15 Second Testimony!

Paul shared his story with the Jews in Jerusalem so that they might see how God changed his life. His goal was to help them know Jesus by showing what Jesus had done in his own life. We can also share with others what our life was like before we knew Jesus and how it was changed after we accepted Jesus!

Today you are going to share your 15-second testimony with your family. Parents, please share your story first to show your kids what it should look like.

This is a time for you and your family to feel encouraged and rejoice in the way that we were once dead in our sin BUT now we are alive in Christ! Down below are the 3 prompts.

  1. There was a time in my life when ________________.
  2. BUT God _________________.
  3. And now ______________________.

Take time to write your 15-second testimonies down on paper or index cards. Then, throughout this week, look for opportunities in your community, school, or work where you can share it with someone who doesn’t know Jesus.

Pray

Read John 14:6.

Use John 14:6 to pray over your family. Reshape the verse into a prayer.
